The ACC takes center stage tonight when the Clemson Tigers travel to face the Louisville Cardinals on the college gridiron. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Clemson (4-5 SU, 3-6 ATS) is struggling through a subpar season. No. 20 Louisville (7-2 SU, 3-6 ATS) has never beaten Clemson at L&N Stadium in four tries, but the Cardinals are a 3-point favorite at home. DraftKings has the total set at 51.5, with 75% of the handle and tickets on the OVER.
Expect plenty of points tonight in Louisville.
Best Bet for Clemson vs. Louisville: Total (OVER/UNDER)
OVER 51.5 (-105 at DraftKings)
Quarterback Miller Moss, who transferred from USC, and running back Keyjuan Brown are key cogs for Louisville’s offense. Brown, who has thrived with fellow RB Isaac Brown sidelined for the past two games, rushed for 136 yards in a losing cause against Cal last week.
Meanwhile, Moss has passed for more yards against top-25 teams than any quarterback in the nation, with 1,067. He’s also thrown the most touchdowns (8) against ranked foes. Unranked Clemson defends the run well, but it ranks 99th nationally in allowing 245.6 passing yards per game.
Clemson will be an underdog for the first time this season. QB Cade Klubnik has been rolling of late. Per Clemson’s sports information department, Klubnik owns the country’s third-best pass efficiency rating since Oct. 1. He’s completed 77.8% of his passes during that span. The Tigers have gone 3-1 during that stretch, and averaged 39 points per game.
Louisville averages 30.6 ppg, and four of its last four games against unranked teams have gone OVER. We’re bullish on points tonight.
Best Player Prop Bet for Clemson Tigers
RB Adam Randall Anytime TD Scorer (+100 at BetMGM)
Adam Randall leads all Clemson players with nine total TDs on the season. Six of those have come on the ground and three through the air.
Randall has scored in seven of 10 games this year. He gets a lot of red-zone usage and remains Clemson’s best bet to score near the goal line. Love these even-money odds at BetMGM.
Best Player Prop for Louisville Cardinals
WR Chris Bell Anytime TD Scorer (-105 at FanDuel)
The due factor is involved here for Chris Bell, who has six TD catches this season. He routinely sees double-digit targets from Moss. Bell has averaged 8.2 catches in his last six games, but has failed to score in the last three.
That changes tonight, given Clemson’s struggles with pass defense. The Tigers have yielded 12 passing TDs on the season.
