The WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale (Stadium Course) features one of the most raucous and unlike golf atmospheres on the PGA Tour.

That’s always a storyline, but there’s another with Scottie Scheffler teeing it up again after skipping last week’s Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. In the previous event, Scheffler rolled to a victory in the American Express during his 2026 debut.

We’ll be focusing on “Winner Without Scheffler” and outright win markets this week, after he won back-to-back tournaments here a few years back. Last year, longshot Thomas Detry won the WM Phoenix Open at +10000 (100-1).

Best Bet on Favorite to Win WM Phoenix Open

Cameron Young (+2400, +1850 Without Scheffler)

Cameron Young finally got his breakthrough win in last year’s Wyndham, the regular-season ending event in Greensboro, N.C. He’s finished T-12 and T-8 in his last two appearances at TPC Scottsdale.

Young made his 2026 debut last week at Torrey Pines and turned in a T-22 finish. He has some impressive metrics over the past 24 rounds: Total Strokes Gained (second), Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green (fourth), and Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee (fourth).

Young has never missed the cut here in four starts. If it weren’t for an opening round 74, Young would likely have been celebrating his maiden win much earlier last season.

Best Bet on Sleeper Pick to Win WM Phoenix Open

Maverick McNealy (+3300, +2500 Without Scheffler)

Another player with one PGA Tour career win (2024 RSM Classic), Maverick McNealy looked solid at Torrey Pines, where he finished 10th. That followed a 24th-place effort at the Sony Open the week prior.

It’s difficult to keep him off your betting card this week after McNealy finished T-9 and T-6, respectively, in his last two starts at TPC Scottsdale. He carded the lowest score (63) in the third round of last year’s WM Phoenix Open.

Last week, McNealy ranked seventh in Strokes Gained: Around the Green, which bodes well for TPC Scottsdale.

Best Bet on Longshot to Win WM Phoenix Open

Jordan Spieth (+5500 at DraftKings, +4100 Without Scheffler)

It’s been nearly four years since Jordan Spieth‘s last PGA Tour victory, which came in the 2022 RBC Heritage. Why roll with him this week?

In four of his last five starts at TPC Scottsdale, he produced a pair of top-4 and top-6 finishes. Overall, he’s got six top-10 finishes in nine career starts here.

In his season debut, Spieth turned four sub-70 rounds into a T-24 finish at the Sony Open. Now, Spieth comes back to a course he’s owned in recent years.
