PlayOJO picks reality star for Brexit-themed campaign

Luisa Zissman, star of The Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother, features in the PlayOJO campaign

Online casino PlayOJO has recruited former Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother star Luisa Zissman for the operator’s latest viral marketing campaign.

In a series of short videos published on the PlayOJO blog and Facebook page – and shared by Zissman herself on Instagram and Twitter – the former Apprentice contestant plays on the PlayOJO theme of “fairness” to address some of the confusion and misconceptions  surrounding Brexit.

Zissman said: “It is concerning to find out just how few people in this country feel that they have a good grasp on what’s going on with Brexit.

“I wanted to help explain these complicated topics into a clear and entertaining way, that even your nan would understand.”

The Brexit campaign is backed by Professor Alex de Ruyter, director of the Birmingham City University Centre for Brexit Studies, providing Zissman with the facts needed to deliver the Brexit breakdown.

A PlayOJO spokesperson said: “PlayOJO has built a reputation for being the fair casino and what better way to strengthen our brand positioning than by helping dispel some of the myths and misunderstandings surrounding Brexit.

“Luisa is a popular and well-liked celebrity following her appearance on The Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother, and has the status and social media following required to ensure this campaign goes viral and reaches our target audience.

“While the campaign is meant to be a bit of fun and is very much tongue-in-cheek, we hope it will also prove useful to those who are still unsure about the impact Brexit might have on their day to day lives.”
