Lightning Box enters Canada with Loto-Québec

Australian slot studio Lightning Box has extended its reach in North America through a distribution deal with Loto-Québec in Canada.

The supplier, which is based in Sydney, has gone live with the lottery and gaming operator via an integration with SG Digital.

The first title to go live was Lightning Horseman, which became the Quebecois state lottery’s highest earner game in its first 24 hours. Popular Lightning Box title Silver Lion has since also been launched.

Peter Causley, CEO and co-founder of Lightning Box, said: “We’re very excited to have launched Lightning Horseman in Canada, our first game in the country.

“Though this is our first title there, we have lots of experience in the North American market and this game adds to the impact we have made in real money gaming, social and land-based casinos”.

Marie-Eve Laberge, product manager at Loto-Québec, added: “We’re delighted to be the first operator in Canada to go live with Lightning Box’s games.

“Their games have always been well-received across the border and given how well Lightning Horseman has performed already, we’re looking forward to rolling out further titles in the near future.”
