European gaming operator Interwetten has boosted its range of payment options after unveiling a new link-up with MuchBetter.

The igaming payment organisation is to be available as a new option across Interwetten’s channels in the coming weeks, offering real-time payments for players and lower transaction fees for the operator.

Lauding mobile gaming as “the fastest growing user base” across its brands, Interwetten stresses that it chose MuchBetter due to its “innovative, mobile first approach to igaming payments”. MuchBetter users can make payments with just their app and fingerprint, with no passwords or security questions to remember.

“We’ve always had a different approach to payments, and we always like to create an integrated relationship with our operators,” Jens Bader MuchBetter co-founder, said of the link-up. “For Interwetten, it’s not the case that they turn on the MuchBetter functionality and we just leave them to it.

“We are committed to building a solution that works for them and meets their specific needs, while serving their players with the smoothest user experience on the market. I believe we’re trusted by all our operators to deliver on that front.”

Another important consideration highlighted by Interwetten was MuchBetter’s commercial model, which ensures operators only pay transaction fees based on the real value the MuchBetter system contributed to Interwetten in a particular month and not every transaction a customer makes.

Dr Birgit Bosch, COO of Interwetten, added: “We have completely bought into the MuchBetter approach, and we love their commitment to payments innovation. After years of growth, mobile gaming remains a huge market opportunity and the MuchBetter app was built with these customers in mind from day one, not retrofitted to suit.

“They know these players and what they want from a payment app, as well understanding as the German speaking market, its opportunities and its many challenges.”
