GGPoker has unveiled six-time tennis major winner and former world number one Boris Becker as an official site ambassador, as well as rolling out a link-up with Czech Republic’s King’s Casino.

Becker, lauded as a “long-time poker enthusiast,” is to represent both brands while playing online, and will act as the official ambassador for the upcoming WSOP Super Circuit Online Series tournaments.

“I am thrilled to work with GGPoker and King’s and am looking forward to competing with players around the world on the very best poker platform,” Becker said. “With the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series just around the corner, I’m hoping to add a WSOP Circuit ring to my Grand Slam wins!”

As a GGPoker partner King’s, labelled “one of Europe’s top live poker venues” where it hosts the annual World Series of Poker Europe,” will offer its players access to a heightened number of online poker games.

“We are honoured to announce our partnership with GGPoker, the most ambitious online operator right now,” commented Leon Tsoukernik, owner of King’s Resort. “Their software is incredibly innovative and evolutive, yet still convenient for amateur players, with many amazing and exclusive features.

“We are very excited with the support of my friend and poker legend ElkY to combine forces with GGPoker. This gives all of our players the best platform and the very best offers.”

The pair of updates follows GGPoker welcoming Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier to its team earlier in the month. The French native, who is known for his esports achievements alongside his poker prowess, boasts over $14.5m in live tournament cashouts.

Jean-Christophe Antoine, head of GGPoker, said of the latest announcement: “The addition of both a sporting great like Boris and a respected poker brand like King’s to the GGPoker roster means we continue to go from strength to strength.

“Everyone is well aware of what a fierce competitor Boris is on the court, and I expect to see the same spirit when he hits the tables!”
