Entain has strengthened its identity, financial and credit checks after asserting that the group has become “the first major sports betting and gaming operator” to adopt the Scout technology from Synalogik.
The solution enables automatic checking and risk-scoring of thousands of customers simultaneously, which it’s hoped will provide accurate risk and open source intelligence reports in seconds rather than hours or even days.
This, says Entain, significantly improves response times for customers whilst ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, which differ considerably across jurisdictions. The system will initially be used across all of the company’s UK-facing brands.
“This delivers on our vision of leveraging innovation and technology to create the best experience for every customer whilst delivering the highest standards of compliance effectiveness and corporate governance,” said Brendan MacDonald, director of customer protection at Entain.
Synalogik’s technology is also employed by law enforcement agencies, and in the cyber-security, insurance, banking sectors. By giving Entain simultaneous access to further data providers and other open source solutions, it aims to allow more informed decisions to be taken rapidly and efficiently.
Gareth Mussell, CEO at Synalogik, explained: “We are delighted that Entain is using our Scout system to support its compliance and governance processes.
“This unique solution provides an enriched customer view, in near real-time, drawn from multiple data sources, which enhances decision making and delivers significant efficiency and cost savings.”
Synalogik technology is also widely used in the financial services sector, notably by banks and insurance companies. Commercial clients also include NatWest Group, O2, Telefonica, Marble Arch Insurance and Innovate UK.
