2020 posed a variety of challenges for many companies, but according to Jesper Svensson, CEO of Betsson Group, one of the biggest hurdles to overcome was maintaining the company’s workplace culture at a time when many of us are working from home.
Speaking to Kelly Kehn (SBC’s global relationship director) in the latest episode of the SBC Leaders podcast, Svensson expressed his excitement of being able to return to the office, before discussing the company’s 2020 successes and expansion into new markets.
Throughout the pandemic, Svensson explained that the Betsson offices remained open where possible. But as more countries edge closer to lifting restrictions, the CEO is looking forward to getting a ‘grip’ on the workplace environment again.
“We are still working from home,” he said. “It is a challenge to maintain a sense of workplace culture when everyone is working from home, but we have done a lot of different activities to keep that going. In most countries, we have kept our offices open for those who wanted to come in when possible.
“I would say we’ve done relatively well from that point of view, but I am looking forward to getting back into the office and really being able to get a grip on those elements of workplace culture again.”
