PointsBet has strengthened its presence throughout the US after agreeing a multi-state agreement with Scientific Games, as well as launching its online casino product in West Virginia.

Through its link-up with Scientific Games, the deal will see the igaming provider’s entire OpenGaming catalogue, developed in-house by SG’s various studios around the world, become available to players in West Virginia, with Michigan and New Jersey scheduled to follow.

Dylan Slaney, CEO Scientific Games, said: “PointsBet has already made a name for itself as one of the leading sportsbooks in the US, and we’re pleased to cement their position as a leader in igaming with our OpenGaming content.

“With a rapidly growing player base across several US states, we look forward to seeing how they take to our portfolio of games which have been enjoyed around the world.”

Moreover, PointsBet will be phase releasing the titles to its players that will include 88 Fortunes, Dancing Drums, Raging Rhino, and Jin Ji Bao Xi.

The company also noted that the integration with SG will position it as a “leader in the US online casino market” and stated OpenGaming’s content “complements its existing casino offering”.

Manjit Gombra Singh, Pointsbet’s president of product and technology, added: “We are pleased this content partnership with Scientific Games is now live for our player base to experience the excellent content that is available to them.

“At PointsBet, we want to put the best iGaming products in front of our players, and there’s no question that Scientific Games will be a first-rate partner in helping us achieve this in the coming months and years.”

The partnership with Scientific Games follows closely with the launch of PointsBet’s online casino product within the West Virginia market.

Following launches in Michigan and New Jersey in May and July last year, West Virginia marks the third state in which PointsBet offers its proprietary igaming platform, and follows on from the company’s mobile app and digital sports betting product launch in the state in August, 2021.

“As PointsBet rapidly expands its presence across the US and the online casino market continues to surge in popularity, we are thrilled to be able to now offer an online casino experience to users in West Virginia,” explained Aaron O’Sullivan, PointsBet‘s VP of online casino revenue

“It has been our goal to deliver the best-in-class casino content to our users in all of the states where we are permitted to offer the service. We remain committed to its growth and PointsBet’s position as the leader in the online casino market.”

PointsBet gained online casino access to West Virginia through its relationship with the Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races. Users in the state will have access to 15 games, including 88 Fortunes, Blackjack, and Monopoly Megaways, through a partnership with SG.

Singh added: “It is an exciting time for the online casino market, and we’re proud to be able to tap into this momentum and introduce our proprietary product in West Virginia.

“We’re quickly scaling our business and have now integrated the Scientific Games platform to expand our premium content portfolio. We’re looking forward to expanding and refining our suite of products throughout the year to deliver more options for our users in PointsBet online casinos.”
