Jon Bowden to ensure PlayStar’s heard in ‘ferociously competitive’ US market

Jon Bowden has joined PlayStar as Chief Marketing Officer in a move that the online casino brand asserted will “prove vital in our mission to disrupt the US market”.

Upon joining the company, he will be tasked with building and leading the marketing team covering brand, CRM and acquisition, as well as creating and deploying the group’s launch strategy in the Garden State and beyond as the operator enters additional states.

Further responsibilities include delivering across marketing technology, partnerships and initiatives as part of efforts to be highly targeted in its approach to marketing and wider acquisition and retention strategies.

Previously, Bowden has held senior branding, marketing and advertising roles at the likes of Entain, Rank Group, Gala Coral and Ladbrokes.

He joins from the former, where he was Brand Director for Gala and where he managed the P&Ls for Gala Bingo, Gala Spins and Gala Casino. Prior to that, he held the same position for the Foxy brand.
