The Colorado RockiesCharlie Blackmon has become the first active pro baseball player to enter into a sports betting partnership deal after teaming-up with MaximBet.

Lauding the alliance as a “landmark deal,” the online casino and wagering brand noted that agreement includes personal appearances, special promotions, responsible gaming initiatives, “money can’t buy” experiences and access to custom gear.

Blackmon, a four-time MLB All-Star and the second longest tenured player in Rockies history, becomes MaximBet’s first active professional athlete ambassador from the four major US sports.

The outfielder will also be featured by MaximBet in upcoming marketing campaigns, fan events, promotions and social media content.

“As I learned more about MaximBet, I knew this absolutely was the right brand for me,” said Blackmon.

“MaximBet has really attached itself to the local Colorado community, and I cannot wait to have some fun with MaximBet and surprising fans with incredible ‘money can’t buy’ experiences all season.”

MaximBet, owned and operated by Carousel Group in partnership with lifestyle brand Maxim, is currently live in Colorado and has recently announced plans to debut in Indiana and Iowa.

Further additional markets being targeted include New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and several others, including further north in the Canadian province of Ontario.

“Charlie is one of the most revered Rockies players of all time, and his style and career success makes him a perfect fit for MaximBet,” said Daniel Graetzer, CEO of MaximBet.

“We are thrilled to welcome Charlie to the MaximBet family. We look forward to him hitting it out of the ballpark for us as we continue to grow in Colorado and across the country.”

Last year, MaximBet unveiled a name, image and likeness deal with college athletes. The deal offered all female student-athletes in Colorado aged 21 and over, at division I, II or III colleges, endorsement opportunities that included social media content, event appearances and free merchandise.
