Grupo Pefaco has struck an alliance with turnkey igaming solutions provider Moobifun in a bid to digitise its casino operations within Africa.

The former, a Spanish holding with its headquarters established in Barcelona, is to initially place a focus upon gaming establishments across a total of six African countries.

Moobifun, which lauds Grupo Pefaco as boasting “several successful casino businesses,” will enable the firm to engage with its customers via localised mobile channels for each individual market.

Furthermore, Moobifun is to provide its suite of lottery products that spans instant lottery, numbers games and digital scratch cards, with each game developed in-house.

The online migration spearheaded by Moobifun will also see the company’s Mobile Money offering become accessible in Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, Niger, Ivory Coast and Burundi.

Louis Mecklembourg, Moobifun’s Head of Business Development & Sales, said: “Grupo Pefaco has built a very successful business within the bricks-and-mortar casino space and we’re thrilled to help them digitise the African operation. Our localised expertise will ensure that users will have a seamless and enjoyable online experience.”

Grupo Pefaco, founded in 1995, is currently present in 13 countries, in Africa, South America and Europe, with Moobifun, which was established in France in 2009, a technology company delivering cloud-management solutions.
