ESA Gaming has basked in a “great moment” after making its maiden move into the Italian online market, which comes after the games provider secured its Greek debut alongside Betshop earlier this month.

This latest commercial tie-up will see the group’s suite of EasySwipe titles go live in Italy courtesy of an integration with online gaming operator Sisal.

The supplier’s EasySwipe suite includes titles such as Goal Mine and Basketball Mine, as well as a range of casino content, with more games expected to be released this year including Rocket Racers, ESA Gaming’s first crash-style game.

These titles look to allow operators to increase their cross-selling capacity between sportsbook and casino without cannibalising revenue channels. This, it is hoped, will drive an uptick in engagement and player loyalty.

Esa Gaming noted that the initial manoeuvre into the Italian online gambling ecosystem forms part of a wider expansion strategy that is targeting an array of globally regulated markets.

Maria Luisa Malfasi, Business Development Manager at ESA Gaming, said: “It is a great moment to see our EasySwipe offering go live in the Italian market, a concept we believe the local players will really enjoy.

“Partnering with Sisal is something we are really excited about. They have a large share of the Italian market with an impressive track record of providing their customers with top class products which has now been extended to include a simple and fast portfolio of cross-sell titles.”

Last month, Flutter Entertainment dipped its toes into the M&A well once more after gaining all necessary regulatory confirmations and closing the £1.62bn acquisition of Italian online gaming operator Sisal from CVC Capital Partners.

Peter Jackson, Flutter Chief Executive, had previously suggested that the purchase was identified due to the company looking to “attain a gold medal position in the Italian market”.
