Pragmatic Play has hailed an “important step” in expanding its igaming offerings following the launch of a live casino studio in Bulgaria.

The global gaming provider’s new European location will be offering its complete catalogue of live casino products, broadcasting with 4k cameras and advanced audio technology to create a “premium immersive experience”.

The facility will be based in the heart of Bulgaria’s capital city, Sofia, and will see the company hire over 2,000 people to add to its team by the end of 2023.

“We’re delighted to announce the opening of our new Bulgarian location, right in the heart of the capital, Sofia,” commented Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play.

“It is an important step for us as we look to both expand the capacity of our Live Casino operations and intend to work with the fantastic talent in Bulgaria.”

This new location becomes the latest European build launched by Pragmatic Play, following its first studio in Bucharest, as well as its developing establishments in Malta, Serbia and Gibraltar, some of which being corporate headquarters.

Cornides added: “We’re proud of the strides made as a business since our inception, and this marks another exciting chapter for Pragmatic Play.”

The announcement of the company’s latest European structure comes shortly after Pragmatic secured a deal with Brazilian operator CtrPixBet, taking a plethora of its offerings to another corner of the South American market.
