Octoplay has reflected on a “significant” and “prestigious” achievement after obtaining a certification to distribute its games within the United Kingdom.
This latest development, which the igaming developer noted was “approved within an impressive three-month period,” Octoplay is seeking a rapidly broadening customer base.
Carl Ejlertsson, CEO of Octoplay, noted: “We are proud to have obtained this UKGC licence, which will allow us to deliver our games to our roster of UK partners that have already committed to working together.
“This is a significant achievement for the company and an exciting time for the industry as we move forward with our disruptive plans.”
The receipt of a remote gambling software licence from the UK Gambling Commission complements that of a recognition notice from the Malta Gaming Authority that was gained in December 2022 and Romanian permit in August 2022.
Martina Borg, Stevens, Director of Legal and Compliance at Octoplay, commented: “The granting of the UKGC licence is a monumental milestone for Octoplay.
“We are thrilled to bring our exciting new games to the UK market and thank the UK Gambling Commission for its diligent work in assessing Octoplay’ s suitability.”
This latest certification comes after the online casino content supplier rolled-out a pair of developments earlier in the year. This first saw the company Octoplay launch its second in-house studio, Penguin King, which will focus on cash games, before going live to players across Europe via Soft2Bet.
