Great Canadian Entertainment has announced that the opening of the CAD$1bn Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto will take place on June 20.
The operator has stated that the establishment will be Canada’s largest destination casino resort with 328,000 square feet of gaming space, including over 4,800 slot machines and 145 table games, exclusive VIP rooms and state-of-the-art sports betting kiosks.
As part of Great Canadian Entertainment’s commitment to responsible gaming, Great Canadian Toronto will also have a PlaySmart Centre on the gaming floor to provide players with “engaging interactive tools and valuable responsible gambling resources”.

Adjacent to the Woodbine Racetrack, Great Canadian Toronto will cover 33 acres and will feature a Vegas-style casino, a 400-room hotel, a 5,000-person live entertainment venue and on-site dining options to deliver “superior gaming, entertainment, and hospitality experiences”.
Great Canadian Entertainment added the $1bn venue is expected to generate over $500m in economic impact and the current Casino Woodbine will be able to continue operating without interruption until Great Canadian Toronto’s debut.
