Shape Games has confirmed a partnership with Dutch online casino and sportsbook operator BetCity, agreeing to support its mobile app launch in the Netherlands.

Owned by Entain Group, BetCity has called upon the B2B platform and service provider, tasking it with developing the operator’s new native mobile apps offering casino and sports betting products.

Léon Voogt, Product Director at BetCity, said: “We are excited to finally launch our app into the wider world. An app has been on our wishlist at BetCity right from the start, and we’re thrilled that it’s now complete.

“It was important for us to be able to offer our entire product portfolio in one app, including a sportsbook, casino, and live casino – all in one place. This made the development process a challenge, but with Shape Games, we found an excellent partner who helped us bring this vision to life.”

Powered by Kambi’s sportsbook platform and Oryx’s PAM and casino offerings, BetCity is looking to go beyond its established betcity.nl web desktop and mobile products in the collaborative mobile app launch with Shape Games.

As one of the first to launch Dutch-facing igaming products following the nation’s regulated market launch in October 2021, BetCity has recently navigated a difficult period in the Netherlands for operator’s following the ban on advertising back in July.

However, despite the difficulties faced in the country, the collaboration has outlined BetCity’s dedication to providing a “safe, enjoyable, and responsible gaming experience to Dutch players”.

Voogt added: “We are confident that with this app, we can provide an even better experience for our players and have faith in a successful partnership between Shape Games and BetCity.”
