International Game Technology is to enhance its standing in the Italian online gaming space after aligning with Microgame, which is hailed as “the number one online gaming service provider” across the region.

This will enable the platform provider to enhance its provision of online casino content, with the IGT PlayDigital library to be made available to almost 50 of Microgame’s operator partners within the country’s digital space.

“IGT has a rich history of providing best-in-class content across a variety of gaming channels in Italy, and Microgame is excited to now offer our operators and their players IGT PlayDigital’s highly engaging casino games,” said Marco Castaldo, Microgame CEO.

“The inclusion of PlayDigital’s igaming content strengthens our overall portfolio and complements our solutions so that we can continue to grow within the Italian market.”

Under the terms of the partnership, the exclusive IGT PlayDigital casino game library, including titles such as Treasures of the Pyramids, The Big Easy, Da Vinci Diamonds, and Cleopatra, will be made available via Microgame.

“This partnership with Microgame enables IGT PlayDigital to amplify our casino portfolio on a broader scale and continue offering Italian players some of the most compelling digital games in the industry,” added Gil Rotem, IGT President of iGaming.

“The demand for igaming continues to grow at a rapid pace and with IGT PlayDigital’s experience and deep understanding of the Italian gaming market, we are uniquely positioned to support Microgame in its portfolio expansion opportunities.”

Last month, IGT reported that total third quarter revenue was consistent on a year-over-year basis at $1.06bn (Q3 2022: $1.06bn), and up six per cent YoY (2022: $1bn) when excluding its Italian commercial services, which were sold in September 2022.
