Boldplay’s slot portfolio will soon be available to operators in the UK igaming market after the studio received a provisional licence from the UK Gambling Commission.

Signalling the Gibraltar-based slot developer’s latest European expansion effort, Boldplay has praised the move as a ‘significant step’ as it gains the ability to provide slots to operators in the UK for the first time.

The UKGC licence will see Boldplay extend its reach across the globe, adding the UK to its existing markets such as Gibraltar, Malta, Romania, Argentina and Peru.

“We are proud to receive our remote software supplier licence from the UK Gambling Commission,” noted Boldplay CEO, Valli Fragoso.

“This milestone reflects our commitment to providing high-quality, engaging casino games to licensed operators while upholding responsible gaming standards. We can’t wait for UK players to try our games.”

Boldplay will enter the UK at a time of uncertainty for slot suppliers, operators and industry organisations as the market continues to undertake consultations surrounding the Gambling Act review.

In line with its regulatory overhaul, the UKGC recently published its Corporate Strategy 2024 to 2027, explaining the key areas of the British gambling market that the regulator will focus on over the next three years.
