Authorities arrested a man in South Florida, who they describe as a “dangerous offender” and previously convicted for a string of Las Vegas casino-cage robberies, after breaking the terms of his parole.

Arrest in Miami Beach

Miami Beach Police arrested Dshante Styles, 35, on October 27 after officers spotted a minivan matching the description of a fugitive vehicle. According to police records, Styles fled when officers attempted to stop him, abandoning his rented minivan in North Bay Village. The officers captured him after a brief foot pursuit.

Miami Beach Police spokesperson said Styles was wanted for “a string of robberies, casino robberies, human trafficking, and battery.”

Authorities confirmed they conducted the arrest with assistance from the FBI and Las Vegas law enforcement agencies.

Convicted in Las Vegas Casino Robberies

Styles was convicted in September 2023 after a series of robberies targeting multiple Las Vegas casinos, beginning in November 2022. DNA evidence from a baseball cap recovered at one of the scenes helped investigators tie him to the crimes. The evidence connected him to robberies at M Resort, Gold Coast, Green Valley Ranch, Silverton, Rampart, and Palace Station.

At the time of his arrest, the Las Vegas police noted that Styles had a previous conviction for at least 13 separate robberies in 2009. Prosecutors charged him with more than 60 counts, including robbery, grand larceny, and burglary.

Styles pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery and received a sentence of six to 15 years in jail. He received parole in December 2023 under house arrest supervision with strict conditions, including full-time employment and community service.

New Florida Charges

Following his capture, Styles now faces additional Florida charges for fleeing and eluding police. Authorities said coordination between Miami Beach detectives, the FBI, and Nevada officials led to the arrest.

“Thanks to the teamwork, technology, and swift action of our detectives and federal partners, this violent fugitive is now off the streets,” Miami Beach Police said in a statement.

Related Heists in Casino Cash Ecosystem

The arrest adds to a series of high-value thefts connected to Las Vegas casinos. Earlier this month, Las Vegas police accused an ex-armored truck driver of stealing $113,000 in cash while transporting funds destined for Dotty’s casinos.

Last year, police arrested Rosa Barria for her alleged involvement in a $750,000 theft from Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall using social engineering tactics.

A year earlier, Caleb Rogers, a Las Vegas police officer, received a 12-year sentence in federal prison for robbing three casinos of about $165,000.

That same year, police arrested Erik Gutierrez for pretending to be Circa Casino owner Derek Stevens. He tricked an employee into handing him over $1.1 million.

Such incidents underscore how casino-related financial crimes extend beyond traditional robbery — encompassing both insider embezzlement and fugitive recidivism.

Authorities said Styles remains in custody in Miami-Dade County pending extradition to Nevada.
