The New York Giants meet the New England Patriots tonight on Monday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN.

The Patriots (10-2 SU, 7-4-1 ATS) are one of the NFL’s biggest surprises under first-year coach Mike Vrabel. The Giants (2-10 SU, 7-5 ATS) have already been eliminated from the playoffs.

As such, New England is a 7.5-point favorite at home with a total of 46.5 at DraftKings. The Giants have taken 51% of the spread handle and 52% of tickets in solid two-way action at DraftKings.

Best Giants vs. Patriots Bet: Against the Spread

Giants +7.5 (-120)

Rookie Jaxson Dart returns at QB for the Giants after being sidelined by a concussion. That’s a reason for optimism in an otherwise gloomy season for the Giants, who’ve fired both their head coach and defensive coordinator.

Dart’s return won’t help a New York defense that allows 27.8 points per game. Only Dallas and Cincinnati give up more.

This is a nice situational spot for the Giants, though, with the Patriots looking ahead to the bye week before a huge showdown versus the Bills. New England enjoys a two-game lead in the AFC East, and this is a possible let-down spot.

New England QB Drake Maye is among the betting favorites to become MVP, but he’s been picked off four times in his last five games. The Pats will be without two key pieces on the O-line tonight, and he should face decent pressure.

Their win-loss record doesn’t reflect it, but New York has been solid against the spread. The Giants are 7-5 against the number, and have covered four of five games getting 7.5 points or more.

Best Player Prop Bet for the Giants

TE Theo Johnson OVER 32.5 Receiving Yards (-112 at FanDuel)

Theo Johnson is enjoying a solid roomie campaign. He’s also exceeded this receiving yard total in his last three games.

  • 3 catches, 77 yards vs. Lions
  • 3 catches, 36 yards vs. Packets
  • 7 catches, 75 yards vs. Bears

New England gives up more than 60 yards per game to opposing tight ends. Expect Johnson to surpass this number, and also take a look at him going OVER 3.5 catches (+114 at FanDuel).

Best Player Prop Bet for the Patriots

RB TreVeyon Henderson OVER 62.5 Rushing Yards (-112 at FanDuel)

TreVeyon Henderson, also a rookie, has taken over as RB1 for the Patriots. Check out his production in the last three games:

  • 18 carries, 66 yards vs. Bengals
  • 19 carries, 62 yards, 2 TDs vs. Jets
  • 14 carries, 147 yards, 2 TDs vs. Bucs

New York’s defense is downright putrid against the run. The Giants allow the most rushing yards per game (157.2) in the NFL. Play this one with confidence. Henderson’s ATTD scorer odds are also worth a toss (-110 at FanDuel).
