Fully compliant FSB expects “comprehensive resolution”

FSB Technology has responded to a licence review from the UK Gambling Commission, stressing that it remains fully co-operative with the regulator and expects a “comprehensive resolution of those concerns in short order”.

This comes after questions emerged surrounding its Blackbet white-label partner, which led to the casino and sportsbook operator voluntarily suspending all activities.

Responding to the news, FSB stresses that the process “is isolated to a nominal amount of white-label licences only,” and that it anticipates no further impact or site suspension.

It is the second white-label issue that FSB has experienced this month, with the voluntary Blackbet suspension coming shortly after the firm said it was reviewing its relationship with European operator 1xBet.

This saw the UKGC step in, and UK-facing site subsequently shut down, after a number of allegations that followed a Sunday Times investigation.

David McDowell, FSB CEO, explained:“The UK Gambling Commission has recently expressed concerns over the levels of due diligence performed on a small number of our white-label partners. These partners and FSB are now fully cooperating with the UKGC and we anticipate comprehensive resolution of those concerns in short order.

“This process is isolated to a nominal amount of white-label licences only, and no further impact or site-suspension is expected.

“As a trusted and proven supplier, FSB puts probity at the cornerstone of everything we do, operating in regulated jurisdictions as a matter of policy. Furthermore, we take our social and regulatory responsibilities to our customers and the wider public extremely seriously.

“Therefore, we will continue to act in good and transparent faith with the UKGC to protect all customer interests and funds, and honour the settlement of any unsettled bets.

“FSB provides brands with everything needed to run a responsible sports betting and gaming business, complete with full reporting, social responsibility tools, bonusing tools, segmentation, payments and data analytics.

“The firm has always placed a strong premium on social responsibility and its solution offers full workflow management across AML and customer interactions, as well as flexible tools for self-exclusion, time-outs and self-imposed limits.”
