International Game Technology‘s sports wagering solution PlaySports has extended its US state-by-state footprint, after linking-up with The Mill Casino in North Bend, Oregan.
Under the terms of the deal The Coquille Indian Tribe-owned casino is to leverage IGT PlaySports technology to offer guests retail sports betting. This is to enable patrons to wager on a range of sports wagers over the counter or via the casino’s IGT PlaySports kiosks.
First opened in 1995 the property boasts over 700 Vegas-style slot machines and a variety of table games, including blackjack, roulette, craps, three card poker, Spanish 21 and fortune pai gow, in excess of 200 waterfront rooms and more than 100 RV sites.
“We are extremely pleased to be the only casino in Southern Oregon to provide our guests access to the excitement of sports betting through IGT’s PlaySports technology,” said Terri Porcaro, CEO of The Mill Casino.
“This new option perfectly complements our slots and table games offering and gives our customers even more reasons to visit our waterfront destination.”
IGT PlaySports is currently powering sports betting in 11 US states with Oregon joining Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, New York, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, West Virginia, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Nevada.
“Enabling The Mill Casino in Oregon to offer world-class sports betting experiences is another important milestone in the expansion of IGT’s position in the US sports betting market,” said Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital senior vice president.
“The solution’s market-readiness and proven capacity to seamlessly process high volumes of bets across devices and channels continues to differentiate IGT PlaySports in the market and has helped fuel its expansion into 11 US states.”
Last week Nevada headquartered IGT stressed the achievement of “significant momentum” during the year’s third quarter, despite a series of declines affecting performance.
Revenue during the period rose three per cent at constant currency to reach $1.15bn, with sharp growth in global gaming product sales overcoming the impact of higher machine gaming taxes in Italy as well as “significant Finland multi-year software sale in prior-year quarter”.
