Isle of Man-based casino software developer Microgaming has announced further European growth after rolling-out a new link-up with Swedish state-owned gambling operator Svenska Spel Sport and Casino.

Lauding the region as “one of Europe’s largest regulated markets for online gaming,” following integration with the Microgaming content aggregation platform Svenska Spel is to provide players with a variety of igaming content.

Among those are blockbuster slots Game of Thrones and Lara Croft Temples and Tombs, as well as a mix of new and original titles, such as Immortal Romance, Agent Jane Blonde Returns, and Book of Oz.

Jonas Nygren, VP of casino of Svenska Spel Sport and Casino, commented: “Microgaming is renowned for its portfolio of high quality, innovative content, and we are delighted to collaborate with them. The addition of Microgamings catalogue of entertaining games will enhance the overall gameplay experience for our players.”

Microgaming, whose content has been live on the Swedish market since re-regulation came into effect on January 1, 2019, lauds the jurisdiction as a “significant market” as the firm deepens its commitment.

Andrew Clucas, chief operating officer at Microgaming, added: “Svenska Spel Sport and Casino is a tremendous addition to our sizeable customer base in this key strategic market. We are pleased to welcome them to the Microgaming family and look forward to working with them closely after a successful integration.”

Yesterday, Svenska Spel called for industry wide unity to capture an “opportunity to regain consumer confidence,” as the firm ends the most tumultuous year in the history of the group.

Following re-regulation of the firm’s home market, Svenska Spel asserts that it continues to develop positively across all core segments, despite revenue, as expected, not being at the level sought. The company states that this is a result of fierce competition and increased efforts in responsible gaming.
