Pragmatic Play is poised to enter “yet another region that is key to our development goals,” with the igaming content developer to distribute its products to Intelligent Gaming.

This will see Supabets become the first of Intelligent Gaming’s operators go live with immediate effect, with the online gaming and sports betting entity also the first in the country to gain the suite of products offered by Pragmatic Play.

Marc Plaxton-Harrison, Intelligent Gaming CEO, said: “Intelligent Gaming are extremely excited to introduce Pragmatic Play to the South African market – it has a tremendously diverse content offering filled with quality titles. The entire Pragmatic Play team have been very agile and hands on and are set to be a strong force in the market here.”

As a result of the agreement, Intelligent Gaming’s players will gain access to Pragmatic Play’s slots roster, which includes games such as the John Hunter series and its range of Megaways games, including Power of Thor Megaways.

Also, to debut on Intelligent Gaming’s platform will be the supplier’s live casino content, including classic table games Blackjack, Roulette and Baccarat, as well as the gameshow inspired Mega Wheel and Mega Roulette. Intelligent Gaming are also set to take Pragmatic Play’s virtual sports and scratch cards offering.

Yossi Barzely, chief business development officer at Pragmatic Play, added: “South Africa is yet another region that is key to our development goals so it’s exciting to get on board with a partner such as Intelligent Gaming. Their insight and experience in the market is essential and we’re thoroughly looking forward to working with them.”

Last month, Bhotesh Maheshwari, VP of strategy and operations at Pragmatic Play, spoke to CasinoBeats to discuss the importance of gamification in the igaming vertical, and how the firm’s Drops & Wins promotions have allowed it to break new ground in both slots and live casino.

“It’s no secret that just having a good slot offering isn’t going to cut it anymore, and what really sets apart incredible suppliers from the masses is the extras,” he begins.

“One major development in recent years has been the advancement of gamification tools, a collection of player engagement solutions that can add to any game session without detracting from the actual gameplay.”
