Nederlandse Loterij facilitates Dutch entry for Scientific Games & Blueprint

Scientific Games and Blueprint Gaming have detailed collaborations with the Nederlandse Loterij, which went live in the newly-regulated market on day one (Friday 1 October).

The former optimised its sports betting and igaming technology to meet the requirements of a market that has initially commenced with ten permitted entrants.

NLO is equipped with the OpenBet product suite, which includes the scalable betting engine, along with its managed trading services and access to full pre-match, in-play and risk management services.

Furthermore, the Toto Online brand of Nederlandse Loteri is also utilising OpenGaming, the content aggregation platform that consists of in-house developed games as well as releases from a range of third-party providers.

Sam Depoortere, business director of Toto at Nederlandse Loterij, said: “This is a landmark moment in the history of Nederlandse Loterij, and we are proud to have the OpenBet technology and content and the OpenGaming ecosystem power our newly-regulated sportsbook and igaming offering.

“We are excited to bring an improved player experience for the Dutch market and take our overall offering to the next level. Over the coming months and years, we are in a strong position to attract a wide audience thanks to our premium product portfolio of sports and gaming.”

Andy Stubley, VP of commercial igaming at Scientific Games, stated: “It’s fantastic to see our content aggregation platform and wide variety of games go live in the newly-regulated online Dutch market.

“We have high expectations that OpenGaming will perform well in this key European region, and look forward to delivering entertaining igaming experiences to players across the country.”

Moreover, Blueprint Gaming is debuting in the Dutch market alongside the group, after making a selection of its games available to the group’s sports betting and igaming brand.

Among the games going live are branded titles such as The Goonies, as well as Blueprint’s range of Megaways offerings. Toto is to also deploy the supplier’s progressive jackpot system, Jackpot King.

Annemarie Reedijk, senior account manager at Blueprint Gaming, commented: “It’s hugely exciting to see our impressive portfolio of games go live in the Netherlands with Nederlandse Loterij.

“We firmly believe that our engaging and feature-rich slots will be well-received by a wide range of players within the region.

“Nederlandse Loterij’s knowledge of the domestic market will be essential in growing our position in this important new region and we’re sure that the strength of our content will result in a very fruitful relationship.”
