Armadillo Studios is preparing to enter the recently regulated Ontario online gaming market after the slots studio gained certification from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and executed an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario.

After gaining AGCO approval, Armadillo Studios asserts that it is prepared to enter the “attractive igaming space” as it looks to gain ground within an “enormous addressable market”.

Launched in 2021 in Miami, Florida, Armadillo Studios was established by EveryMatrix and charged with the development of online casino games based on the US market specific game logic and player preferences.

After releasing its first three slot titles and signing a new partnership with the Brazilian MMA fighter Amanda Nunes, the studio is now ready to expand north and offer its gaming content to the Canadian market.

David Stoveld, COO of Armadillo Studios, says: “We are proud to enter Ontario under new regulations. It has always been clear that Canada prioritises keeping entertainment and safety in check, from environmental control to alcohol consumption, and I would expect no different from online gambling.”

Monday April 4, 2022, saw Ontario debut its digital ecosystem, with 888, bet365, BetMGM, BetRivers, Caesars, Coolbet, FanDuel, LeoVegas, PointsBet, Rivalry, RoyalPanda, theScore, and Unibet, all permitted to go live on the day of launch.
