Octoplay has announced that it has secured ISO 27001 accreditation for meeting the highest possible standards for information security and data management.

The casino gaming technology company has noted that the certification will provide reassurance to existing regulators and partners regarding the firm’s compliance and security approach.

The ISO 27001 accreditation will also help Octoplay launch its services in additional regulated markets in the future more smoothly.

Carl Ejlertsson, Chief Executive Officer at Octoplay, has described the accreditation as a “fundamental step” for the company in the gaming industry, providing “assurance” to regulators globally.

Ejlertsson commented: “ISO 27001 is a fundamental step on our path to developing the industry’s leading gaming technology company.

“The certification makes securing regulatory approvals smoother and provides further objective assurance to our partners and regulators that we are committed to the highest of technical standards.”

2023 has been a year of expansion for Octoplay, as earlier this year, the company received licences from the UK Gambling Commission and Spelinspektionen to supply its online casino content in the UK and Swedish markets respectively.

The reach of the company’s proprietary game server has also grown in recent months, following partnerships with Soft2Bet and Rootz.
