Soft2Bet is expanding its European footprint into the Italian market after acquiring a Maltese company that holds an Italian licence.

Through the strategic venture, Soft2Bet will work with Italy’s online gambling regulatory body – Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli – to make sure the company is compliant with local regulations.

The igaming provider also has plans to certify its platform in Italy, as well as position itself as a platform provider in the European country.

“We at Soft2Bet are happy to deepen our European presence with this exciting venture into the Italian market,” commented David Yatom Hay, Soft2Bet’s General Counsel.

“This is yet another example of Soft2Bet’s steadfast commitment to expand its regulatory portfolio. We’re confident that Italian operators will greatly benefit from what Soft2Bet has to offer to the market.”

The new presence in the Italian market is just one part of Soft2Bet’s European expansion over the past several months.

The igaming provider recently obtained a B2B A1 licence from the Greek gambling regulator, the Hellenic Gaming Commission, as well as a B2B permit from the Swedish gambling authority Spelinspektionen, and a Romanian licence from local regulator Oficiul National pentru Jocuri de Noroc.

Elsewhere across the continent, Soft2Bet has licences in Denmark, Ireland and Malta, with plans to add more countries to that list.

Yoel Zuckerberg, Chief Product Officer at Soft2Bet, also recently spoke to CasinoBeats about the different ways the company is using gamification to elevate the player experience, such as selecting different features and having the right technology stack in place.
