SkyCity Entertainment has announced that Julie Amey will be resigning from her role as Chief Financial Officer later this year.

Leaving on September 25, 2024, Amey has been CFO of SkyCity since May 2021, joining the casino operator after holding several financial positions in different regions at Shell.

“Julie has been responsible for the financial management of the SkyCity Entertainment Group and overseen the business’ capital markets and internal assurance functions through a very complex and demanding period,” commented SkyCity interim CEO Callum Mallet.

“She has worked tirelessly and been a valued member of the senior leadership team since she joined SkyCity in May 2021.”

Julian Cook, SkyCity Board Chair, added: “On behalf of the senior leadership team and the board, I wish Julie the very best for her future endeavours.”

SkyCity has also recently appointed Andrew McPherson as Chief Information Officer.

McPherson initially joined SkyCity as interim Chief Information Officer in November 2023. Previously, he held senior leadership roles across New Zealand technology firms, including as Chief Technology Officer at Stuff Limited and as Head of National Design at Spark.
