Saturday’s NCAA Tournament Game Odds at DraftKings
Let’s get ready for a busy day of college basketball and bracket-busting by examining the odds for each game at DraftKings. Predictions and picks will follow.
No. 1 Michigan (-12.5, 161.5) vs. No. 9 St. Louis
CBS: 12:10 p.m. ET
This game has all the makings of an OVER. Michigan gave up 80 points to Howard in the opening round, but still won going away, 101-80.
St. Louis exploded for 102 points in its opening win against Georgia. The Wolverines could use the defensive prowess of LJ Cason in this matchup, but his season ended with a torn ACL in late February.
Pick: OVER 161.5
No. 3 Michigan State (-4.5, 151.5) vs. No. 6 Louisville
CBS: 2:45 p.m. ET
Louisville will again miss the production of freshman guard Mikel Brown Jr. (18.2 ppg), who remains out with a back injury. The Cardinals will lean on leading scorer Ryan Conwell (18.7 ppg) against an aggressive MSU defense anchored by 6’10” senior Jaxon Kohler.
Kohler is a monster on the glass with 9.1 rebounds per game. The big man can also shoot the 3, and averages 12.6 points per game. Meanwhile, point guard Jeremy Fears Jr. leads the nation in assists with 9.2 apg. He orchestrates the MSU offense, but his scoring (15.4 ppg) will likely be the difference here.
Pick: MSU -4.5
No. 1 Duke (-11.5, 139.5) vs. No. 9 TCU
CBS: 5:15 p.m. ET
Duke entered the tourney as the No. 1 overall seed, but it received a serious scare from No. 16 seed Siena in the opening round. That should serve as a wake-up call for the Blue Devils, who are expected to get center Patrick Ngongba (foot) back for this game.
Duke’s size advantage will be key here, and TCU struggles with interior defense (200th nationally in 2-point FG %). Expect another big game from Carlos Boozer, who heads our list of NCAA Tournament MVP bets.
Pick: OVER 139.5
No. 2 Houston (-10.5, 142.5) vs. No. 10 Texas A&M
TNT: 6:10 p.m. ET
This game features a contrast in styles: Texas A&M’s up-tempo offense versus Houston’s more slow-paced approach. Can the Aggies speed Houston up?
Texas A&M forced 18 turnovers in the opening win against St. Mary’s. If it can replicate that effort versus Houston and dictate tempo, we like the Aggies and the points.
Pick: Texas A&M +10.5

No. 3 Gonzaga (-6.5, 146.5) vs. No. 11 Texas
TBS: 7:10 p.m. ET
Gonzaga senior forward Graham Ike does the bulk of his damage in the paint, as does the offense as a whole. Texas struggles with interior defense, and that could be a huge problem against the Bulldogs.
At the other end of the floor, Gonzaga ranks top-20 nationally in 2-point % and 3-point % defense. Give us Mark Few over Sean Miller in the coaching matchup, too.
Pick: Gonzaga -6.5
No. 3 Illinois (-11.5, 151.5) vs. No. 11 VCU
CBS: 7:50 p.m. ET
Another game here where the OVER appears to be the prime play. Illinois put up 105 points in its opening win over Penn. KenPom ranks the Illini as the top team in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency.
VCU can also score in bunches, which it proved during its epic comeback over UNC on Thursday. The Rams made 42.3% of their 3-point attempts in that game, hitting 11 treys to win 82-78 in overtime.
Pick: OVER: 151.5
No. 4 Nebraska vs. No. 5 Vanderbilt (-2.5, 146.5)
TNT: 8:45 p.m. ET
Nebraska finally got its first-ever NCAA Tournament win, beating Troy 76-47 on Thursday. Vanderbilt will provide a much bigger test for the Huskers.
Vanderbilt boasts one of the best backcourt tandems in the country. Tyler Tanner (19.3 ppg) and Duke Miles (16.4 ppg) can both fill it up. Superior guard play is a key ingredient in postseason success, and the Commodores will win and cover because of it here.
Pick: Vanderbilt -2.5
No. 4 Arkansas (-11.5, 168.5) vs. No. 12 High Point
TBS: 9:45 p.m. ET
This is a monster total and the highest on Saturday’s board. High Point proved it could keep up offensively, beating Wisconsin 83-82 on Thursday behind 23 points from Rob Martin. The Panthers average 90 ppg, ranking third nationally.
Who ranks fourth? That’s right, Arkansas (89.9 ppg). The Razorbacks scored 82+ points in their last five games entering the tourney. Arkansas then rolled up 97 points in Thursday’s win over Hawaii.
Freshman sensation Darius Acuff Jr. led the way with 24 points, but every starter finished with double-digit points.
Pick: OVER 168.5
