Rush Street and French Lick introduce Indiana’s first mobile sportsbook

Punters in the state of Indiana can legally place internet wagers for the first time from today, courtesy of Rush Street Interactive and a partnership alongside French Lick Resort.

The Hoosier State’s first licensed online and mobile sportsbook is to launch via BetRivers.com, marking a continuation of the deal inked in August which saw a retail launch come just in time for the NFL season.

Indiana’s mobile sports betting market does not require in-person registration at the casino, so players can register and begin instantly from anywhere in the state

Subject to approval by the Indiana Gaming Commission players will receive a match bonus up to $250 on their first deposit, while participants must be physically located within Indiana and at least 21 years old to wager

“What better time to launch than in the height of football season, the start of baseball playoffs and just before basketball returns?” noted Richard Schwartz, president of Rush Street Interactive.

“We know our players are really going to appreciate the convenience of being able to place wagers online anywhere in Indiana, adding to the excitement of these sporting events.

“Our experience and success in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York allows us to zero-in on what players want – a massive range of sports betting options, through reliable and scalable technology, with responsive customer service and fast payouts.”

RSI introduced French Lick’s retail sportsbook last month, with the 3,000 foot space containing a pair of 14 feet long by 8 feet high LED video walls that will anchor the sportsbook viewing area, along with 18 additional TV monitors.

The sportsbook also includes eight self-serve betting kiosks, and up to three staffed over-the-counter betting windows.

Schwartz added: “We are excited to make history in the state of Indiana. As a Chicago-based business and affiliate of the trusted and market leading Rivers Casino in Illinois, we are proud to expand our trust into Indiana.

“We are thankful for the Indiana Gaming Commission giving Rush Street Interactive their vote of confidence and authorising us to launch online sports betting in the state. We look forward to working together with French Lick to continue our great partnership.”
