Play’n Go lauds Buenos Aires’ market potential amid accreditation nod

Red Rake Gaming has gained Argentine approval by the Loteria de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires for the City of Buenos Aires.

Play’n Go has lauded the speed of which Buenos Aires, and Argentina in general, is re-regulating, as the supplier outlines its vision for the market after securing “another landmark accreditation”.

This has seen the group secure accreditation from LOTBA, the Buenos Aires gaming regulator, ensuring that it can offer fully compliant casino content to operators licensed in the region.

Sissel Weitzhandler, chief risk and compliance officer at Play’n Go, said, “Our strategy remains to engage in every regulated jurisdiction with diligence and care.

“The speed at which Argentina is re-regulating is very positive and we are looking forward to supporting our partners as they enter this newly regulated and exciting marketplace.”

The LOTBA green-light is praised as “another significant step forward” for the company in Latin America, which it calls an “important market” that it has invested in significantly over the past few years.

Magnus Olsson, global head of sales and account management at Play’n Go, underscored the importance of the latest certification: “Latin America is a really important market for us, and it’s fantastic to now be able to bring our content to the city of Buenos Aires’ three million inhabitants.

“But it isn’t just our content. We want to bring more to this new market too. Our partners in Buenos Aires can expect the same premium service that we give to our customers anywhere else in the world – every single new game we produce will be certified and available for players on the day we promise, without delay or disruption.”

Cristian Acuna, head of sales in Latin America at Play’n Go, added that the speed at which the region is regulating would mean that operators from all over South and Central America would be watching closely.

“We know that the eyes of the LatAm region will be watching Buenos Aires closely, but we are confident that our wide and varied portfolio of content with resonate strongly with players,” he added.

“Thanks to our experience in Latin America, we know that what players in Argentina enjoy will be different from players in Colombia, Peru or Mexico. Operators can’t take a ‘one-size fits all’ approach to Latin America, and we don’t either.

“We work closely with our partners throughout South and Central America to ensure they are offering the best entertainment to their players possible, and to help them grow their businesses too. And we can’t wait to get started in Buenos Aires.”
