DraftKings and BetMGM have made their 13th and 14th state entry respectively after launching digital sports betting platforms in Wyoming.
As of today, customers in the state of Wyoming will be able to wager on various markets across professional and collegiate sports using DraftKings’ mobile sportsbook app.
“Legalised sports betting has seen wide-spread growth in just three years and the DraftKings Sportsbook has been at the centre of the action,” said Matt Kalish, co-founder and president, DraftKings North America.
“We are thrilled that Wyoming sports bettors have the opportunity to experience the highly accessible and immersive fan experience along with best in class consumer protections that our product offers millions of skin-in-the-game sports fans.”
As part of the launch, DraftKings will offer all its Wyoming customers two Double Your Money opportunities.
Additionally, in line with DraftKings’ commitment to environmental initiatives, and in collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation, the group is hosting an earth-themed free-to-play pool open to customers in the region.
Wyoming is the third state this year to launch DraftKings’ online sportsbook, following Virginia and Michigan in January, and joins Colorado as its second state in the western United States.
Per state regulations, Wyoming joins Virginia as the second state this year to permit direct mobile licencing, allowing mobile operators such as DraftKings, which generate a majority of sports betting revenue, to be licenced independent of any tethering to a land-based casino or other brick-and-mortar establishment.
Offering players a user-friendly sports betting experience, the BetMGM app will let users customise pre-game, in-play, futures and parlay wagers.
“We’re ecstatic that BetMGM is one of the first mobile sports betting platforms to launch in Wyoming, just in time for the start of the football season,” said BetMGM CEO, Adam Greenblatt. “Wyoming is an important state for us as we continue to expand BetMGM’s footprint in the West. We’re confident that its sports fans will enjoy the BetMGM experience.”
BetMGM’s integration with MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards program gives customers the ability to redeem their gameplay for experiences at MGM Resorts properties nationwide, including Bellagio and MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Borgata in New Jersey, MGM National Harbor in Maryland, Beau Rivage in Mississippi and MGM Grand Detroit.
