Vita Media Group acquires former Codere casino brand Greenplay

Century Casino, in collaboration with Vici, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Rocky Gap Casino for an aggregated price of $206m.

Danish igaming company Vita Media Group has completed the acquisition of Spanish operator Greenplay

A casino brand formerly owned and managed by Codere Online Management Services, the takeover of Greenplay is said to strengthen Vita Media Group’s market position within both Europe and Latin America.

“The acquisition of the Greenplay casino brand is a massive expansion of our own igaming ecosystem,” explained Jimmi Meilstrup, chief executive officer of Vita Media Group. “We are reinventing our presence in existing markets, and at the same time we are trying to unlock new market possibilities.

“This strategic investment allows us to be more creative and offer a lot more quality on the market in 2022.”

Greenplay is the seventh casino brand that will join Vita Media Group as part of the company’s affiliate division, entitled OMG Affiliates. All affiliates working under the Codere agreement of the Greenplay casino, will now be transferred to the OMG Affiliates platform.

Once the migration is complete, all affiliates will be introduced to the new account management system.

The acquisition of Greenplay is the third investment that Vita Media added to its affiliate division within 2021, with the company previously purchasing Trada Affiliates brands from the United Kingdom and, more recently, a European gambling affiliate from Denmark – Affilisearch.
