Casino content developer Raw iGaming has invested in a new game studio in Malaga, Spain, to coincide with its recently announced development hub.

The new studio is said to be designed to offer an environment where “all employees can push the boundaries and reach their full potential” whilst also offering the “perfect balance” between work and play.

Henrik Fagerlund, chief operations officer at Raw iGaming, noted: “Malaga was the right choice for us with its great infrastructure, close access to a major airport and being one of the top cities in Spain.

“The region is already seeing many high-profile companies establishing their presence here, which is in line with wider ambitions for the area to become the ‘Tech hub of Southern Europe’.

“The combination of great universities in the region and the fact that there is already established igaming companies here and in neighbouring Gibraltar makes this a great place for talent acquisition, too.

“Of course, the lovely climate, the lower cost of living and quality of life is another great benefit for our employees.”

To coincide with its development hub, Raw has started a recruitment drive with a great number of open roles including lead artist, senior artist, senior animator, head of platform, senior software engineer, senior DevOps engineer and senior game client developer.

The Raw iGaming management team considered several locations before setting up its game studio in Spain but found the region of Andalucía and in particular Malaga ticked all of the boxes.
