Sportsbook and igaming software provider Altenar has revealed in its full-year financial results a 270 per cent increase in its commercial client base, enabled by its penetration into newly-regulated markets.
Having hit several milestones in its international expansion strategy in 2021, the company has emphasised its “notable success” in Colombia, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
“It’s been an outstanding 12 months for all of us at Altenar and we’re very proud of our excellent numbers, with yet another year of record-breaking success,” noted Domenico Mazzola, Altenar’s Commercial Director. “The team has worked extremely hard while all focusing on the same goal which is fantastic to see.
“The 2021 financial year has seen us greatly expand our products and services, as well as our global offices, with a 36 per cent increase in headcount.”
Additionally, the report detailed that, in the past year, its sportsbook achieved “record-breaking growth” with a 150 per cent increase in total bets and player count.
Highlighting a number of key areas for growth, Altenar pinpointed esports, data and virtuals which “have proved to be a major engagement and acquisition tool for operator partners”.
Mazzola concluded: “It’s brilliant to have so many new specialists aboard and I have no doubt we will continue to grow and develop throughout 2022 as the team looks to keep this momentum going.”
Currently active in 13 global markets, the firm has highlighted its belief that the successes of 2021 will help it to establish itself as the “sportsbook provider of choice” for multiple leading operators.
