Ontario boasts the potential to be “one of the biggest igaming markets in North America” says Blueprint Gaming, which has become one of the latest online casino supplier’s to be awarded a licence to enter the Canadian province.
The comments come after the slot developer detailed its latest expansion across the region, with momentum continuing across Canada via the approval to supply games to multiple operators within the imminently regulating market.
Following receipt of Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario approval, more than 50 of the studio’s games, including The Goonies, ted and Sausage Party, as well as an adaptation of the branded Deal or No Deal games to be based on Canada’s equivalent show Le Banquier, will be available to operators.
Furthermore, to complement its deployment, Blueprint will also release an updated version of its progressive jackpot system. Titled Jackpot Royale, the studio says that this has been modified to work with the specific requirements and liquidity of the various provinces within Canada.
Jackpot Royale can be activated from any spin within Blueprint games that feature the functionality. Players enter the Wheel King game mode, where they have the opportunity to claim one of three progressive jackpots available.
Jo Purvis, Director of Key Accounts and Marketing UK at Blueprint Gaming, said: “Ontario has the potential to become one of the biggest igaming markets in North America, so being able to service the province from day one is a hugely important move for the company.
“Players in Canada already enjoy our style of games and we have strong expectations for the market. We’re looking forward to bringing our content to a much wider audience.”
Beginning April 4, private gaming operators that have registered with the AGCO and have executed an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario can begin offering their games to players in the region.
Operators set to expand into the region on April 4 are Annexio (LottoGo.com), BetMGM, Coolbet, FanDuel, Fitzdares, bet365, LeoVegas, WSOP.com, Ontario Lottery and Gaming, PointsBet, Rivalry, Royal Panda, Rush Street Interactive (BetRivers Ontario), theScore, Unibet and 888.
