The We-Ko-Pa Casino resort and Betfred Sports have launched a retail sportsbook inside its Arizona property, continuing a partnership between the two entities which dates back to August 2021.
Undertaken through Betfred’s US subsidiary, We-Ko-Pa has installed the sports betting space at its establishment within the Grand Canyon State, which features 4K video walls and displays, a cashier stand with four wagering terminals and ‘strategically-located’ betting kiosks.
Chief Operating Officer of Betfred USA Sports, Bryan Bennett, commented: “We’re excited to increase our presence in Arizona in partnership with the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and WKP Sportsbook.”
“As a team, we set out early to create one of the best game-watching and betting experiences in the state, and we’re confident we’ve accomplished that goal.”
KP’s latest facility boasts a Planar 4k direct view LED video wall that can display up to 12 live games at once, and will be open seven days a week with snacks and refreshments also readily available.
“We took our time in creating our new Sportsbook because we wanted to learn from those that came before us, maximise existing resources, and leverage the latest electronic advancements so we could take our facility to the next level of gaming excellence,” explained Kirk Brumbaugh, Table Games Director for the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort.
The sportsbook company secured the alliance with WKP after striking a deal with the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, initially providing the resort with a temporary betting station at the casino’s Sports & Entertainment Sports Bar.
This installation is the latest collaboration between Betfred and its wholly owned WKP resort, following a partnered launch of mobile betting apps across Arizona earlier this year.
