Biloxi’s Treasure Bay Casino converts to IGT PlaySports technology

IGT

International Game Technology has swelled its presence across the US’ gambling ecosystem via deployment at Mississippi’s Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel.

This will see the Biloxi-based property gain the PlaySports retail and mobile technology, with the expanded sports betting footprint seeing IGT currently deployed at more than 80 gaming venues across the country.

“Converting to IGT’s high-performing PlaySports technology allows Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel to enhance our current sportsbook offering and engage players with new avenues for betting,” said Jeff Prusinowski, Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel’s Corporate Vice President of Operations.

“The addition of on-premise mobile betting provides superior player convenience, enabling patrons to place wagers from almost anywhere within our casino property, and establishes a first-rate platform from which to launch state-wide mobile sports betting should it be legalised. We’re excited to partner with IGT PlaySports for the next generation of our sportsbook.”

Under the terms of the fresh partnership, Treasure Bay has converted its former retail sportsbook platform to the IGT solution, with the deal including on-premise mobile technology as well as PlaySports’ trading advisory services.

“The flexibility and high performance of IGT PlaySports’ proven platform, hardware and tailored services allows Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel to grow its sportsbook operations with confidence,” added Joe Asher, IGT President of Sports Betting.

“We expect that the casino will maximise the potential of its sports betting offering and benefit from IGT PlaySports’ vast experience and leadership in the US sports betting market.”
